Volunteer

Pro-bono attorneys and other volunteers are critical to the Safe Passage Project model.

Lawyers

Safe Passage Project is able to reach as many immigrant children in NYC as possible thanks to the generous commitment of over 400 pro bono attorneys — and we are always looking for more volunteers. We provide mentorship throughout the duration of the case regarding immigration and family law, practice and procedure; sample applications, motions and pleadings; documentation; and other case resources. With this mentorship model, any capable lawyer can make a major difference in an immigrant child's life. If you are interested, please contact us below and then read our Memorandum of Understanding. We'll follow up with next steps.

Interpreters

Are you multilingual? Your language skills can make a huge difference in the life of an immigrant child. Interpreters play a critical role in helping our immigrant clients access justice and due process. Interpreters can help clients obtain asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) and other forms of legal relief by interpreting during attorney-client meetings and at interviews with immigration officers. Fill out the survey below if you are interested in volunteering with Safe Passage Project and we will follow up shortly.

Careers

We are deeply passionate about fighting for the rights of immigrant children and have doubled in size every year since 2013. Are you next to join the team?
