Nikon Limberis is an estate planning and real estate attorney who focuses on residential and commercial real estate law. Mr. Limberis began his career on Wall Street, where he worked closely with a number of hedge funds. After working in finance for fifteen years, Mr. Limberis changed course and enrolled at New York Law School as an evening student. After graduation, Mr. Limberis opened his own private practice.
Mr. Limberis first heard about Safe Passage about three years ago from a law school classmate, who told him about and all that Safe Passage was doing on behalf of immigrant children living in New York City. Following that conversation, Mr. Limberis knew that he had to be part of the team.
Recently, Mr. Limberis successfully represented a young Guatemalan boy in Immigration Court, Family Court, and before USCIS. Just last week, he filed his motion to terminate in immigration court and hopes to help his client obtain permanent residency before the end of the year. Mr. Limberis also recently agreed to represent a young boy from Honduras on behalf of Safe Passage.
Mr. Limberis says his experience working with Safe Passage has been “ absolutely amazing”. He believes it to be self-gratifying and states that he is “excited to help in any way that he can.” Despite not having a formal background in immigration law, he has found Safe Passage to be supportive every step of the way.
During his free time, Mr. Limberis enjoys spending time with his family – especially his two daughters, who are 3 and 4 years old. As a family, they like to travel and be together. Mr. Limberis is also an avid golfer and loves soccer. He has found that sports is one of the easiest ways to bond with his clients. As a long time Arsenal supporter, Mr. Limberis loves talking soccer with his clients.
