Safe Passage Social Worker, Samantha Norris, went to a children’s health event on Thursday, titled, “Unaccompanied Minors in New York State: Acculturating Social Service Providers.” The event was put on by the Children’s Defense Fund and Terra Firma.
Samantha reported, “it was a great event – the presentations were extremely helpful and informative. It was wonderful to see so many service providers concerned with this particular population [immigrant children] and ready and willing to collaborate to make sure their needs are met.”
