On Thursday, April 12, 2016, the Department of State announced a retrogression of the Immigrant Visa category for Special Immigrant Juvenile applicants from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. In order to help as many children as possible, the Safe Passage Project filed over 20 motions to terminate before immigration court following an expedited procedure. On Wednesday, April 20, 2016, we received termination orders for all cases filed. We are now getting ready to file the applications for adjustment of status prior to the deadline of Friday, April 29, 2016.
