*NEW DATE* New Priorities: Understanding How Immigration Policy Changes Impact the Most Vulnerable

April 26, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - May 11, 2017 @ 8:30 pm

Recent executive orders and implementing memoranda reflect a change in policy toward immigrants seeking humanitarian protections in the United States and a significant shift in immigration enforcement priorities.
Join experts and practitioners who will discuss what we know – and what remains to be seen – about the practical implications of recent policy changes for unaccompanied immigrant children and their families, asylum seekers, and noncitizens seeking access to justice in state courts. CLE credit will be awarded to attendants.
Speakers will include:
Rebecca Press, Staff Attorney, Central American Legal Assistance
Sunil Varghese, Deputy Director, Newark Asylum Office
Lee Wang, Staff Attorney, Immigrant Defense Project
