The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) New York Field Office welcomed NYLS law students, alumni, and Safe Passage staff for a behind-the-scenes tour the morning of September 9, 2015. Professor Lenni Benson and Adjunct Professor Claire R. Thomas arranged the tour for NYLS students in their Immigration Law & Litigation and Advanced Immigration Seminar courses. Students learned about adjustment of status, naturalization, making Infopass appointments and other functions of USCIS from Field Office Director Tim Houghton, Chief of Staff John Carrington, and other staff members. We thank the USCIS NY Field Office for their hospitality and for taking the time to help us learn.
