Safe Passage Project is proud to announce that Ignacio Jaureguilorda has been selected as the organization’s next Executive Director. He will join the team on June 8, 2026.

Ignacio brings more than 20 years of experience as a New York City nonprofit leader, with a career rooted in legal services and a deep commitment to access to justice. He most recently led the Civil Access to Justice Initiatives team at the Center for Justice Innovation, and earlier in his career held roles at AIDS Center of Queens County and Housing Works. He is known for his strategic approach to organizational leadership, his experience in team management, fundraising, and government affairs, and his ability to build across communities and institutions.

He comes to Safe Passage Project with a genuine connection to our mission and a clear-eyed understanding of what this moment asks of us.
